Frequently Asked Questions

How many children do we need to form a group?

A minimum of three children is required to form a new homeschool group. Once a group is running, additional children may be able to join subject to available places.

What if we don't already have a group?

That's completely fine. You can either book a private lesson or register your interest with your preferred location and availability and we'll let you know when we're forming a suitable group in your area.

How long are the lessons?

Choose between 50-minute and 90-minute sessions. Both options are available as a one-off lesson or in packages of 5 or 10 sessions.

Where are homeschool lessons available?

Lessons are primarily available at Meadowbank, St Ives, Blackman Park and Federal Skatepark. Other suitable locations may also be available by agreement.

Do we need our own skateboards and protective gear?

No. Skateboards and protective equipment are available for children who need them. Kids are also welcome to bring their own equipment.

What happens if it rains?

Skateboarding requires a safe, dry surface. If a lesson can't go ahead due to wet weather, we'll arrange a replacement session.

Do the children need any skateboarding experience?

Not at all. Complete beginners are welcome, and coaching is adapted to each child's individual ability. Children with different experience levels can participate in the same group.
