Our Full Term School Program (10 Weeks)
Designed for schools looking to make skateboarding part of their PE program, our
10-week curriculum gives students the opportunity to build their skills progressively rather than starting from scratch each session.
Students begin with safety, balance and board control before progressing to obstacles, introductory tricks and individual goals - with coaching adapted to each student's ability throughout the program.
Collapsible content
WEEK 1 - SAFETY & FOUNDATIONS
Board and protective-equipment safety, stance, stepping on and off, basic board control and an introduction to pushing. Artificial-grass patches support initial stationary practice.
WEEK 2 - BUILDING RIDING CONFIDENCE
Balance, pushing, controlled stopping, turning and changing direction. Snake runs and simple activities help students connect these skills.
WEEKS 3-4 - EXPLORING OBSTACLES
Progressive introductions to the half A frames, A frame, quarter pipe, ride-on ledge and ride-on rail, according to each student's readiness. Students continue developing control through snake runs and flat-ground practice.
WEEKS 5-6 - OBSTACLES & INTRODUCTORY TRICKS
Students build confidence on suitable obstacles and explore age- and ability-appropriate tricks while beginning to identify the activities and skills they most enjoy.
WEEKS 7-10 - INDIVIDUAL PROGRESSION
Students refine existing skills and work towards personal goals through coached practice, preferred obstacles, tricks, snake runs and creative riding sequences, before celebrating their individual progress in the final session.
